The Today screen

Today opens on your next stop, then the things that will bite you if nobody looks: jobs with no tech on them, calls that came in since you last checked, and money that has been owed for too long.

What is on it

• A status bar — whether Ava is on your line, whether your calendar is connected, and a standing reminder of what is still switched off. It will tell you that customer texts are waiting on carrier approval and that card payments are coming, every single day, rather than letting you assume otherwise.
• Four numbers — calls today against the same weekday last week, how many Ava booked, what that work is worth, and what is unpaid.
• Needs you — up to about six things, in the order they will cost you money: a tech Ava lined up for a job, an unassigned job, a photo quote waiting for review, callers who have not been called back, your biggest open estimate, your oldest unpaid invoice. Each one has a do-it button and a change-it button.
• Your next job — with directions one tap away.
• Today — a lane per person, with a marker for right now.
• Recent calls — with what happened on each one, so you can triage without listening to anything.

Suggestions are suggestions

When somebody is free for an unassigned job, or an invoice has gone quiet, Ava puts the move in front of you with a Confirm and a Change. She does not do it on her own. That is on purpose: the cost of a wrong automatic booking in this trade is a truck driving to the wrong house.

On a phone

Today is built phone-first, because that is where owners actually read it — in a truck, between stops. The same screen works in any phone browser and can be added to your home screen. There is no App Store download; see Team members for what your crew sees.
