Estimates & price book

One price book. The same prices on every quote and every call.

Set your prices once. Estimates pull from them, Ava quotes them on the phone, and a customer's photos become a priced draft you check before they see a number.

The Aestar app on a computer: AI Estimates, with Owen's panel photo priced from the price book, labor, materials, permits and a range of $3,327 to $4,234, waiting for the owner to approve. Example shop.

Photos in, a priced draft out

Send a customer a private link for photos. Ava reads them, prices the job from your price book and shows every line, a range and how she got there. Change the hours if you like; nothing reaches the customer until you approve it. Today you send the photo link yourself.

An AI estimate in the Aestar app: 200A panel upgrade from Owen's photo, with labor, materials, equipment, permits, overhead and contingency, a total of $3,780.35 and a range of $3,327 to $4,234. Example shop.

Your price book, set once

Setup starts you with prices for your trade. Keep them, change them or add your own. Estimates, invoices and Ava all use the same list.

Service callstarts at $129
Outlet or switch replacementstarts at $165
Ceiling fan installstarts at $285
EV charger install (Level 2)starts at from $1,450

Ava quotes these as “starts at” prices. No price on file, no price quoted.

Customers approve it themselves

Build an estimate from the price book, copy the customer's link and send it. They open a private page and tap Approve or Decline, and your list shows it. An approved estimate becomes a job, then an invoice, without retyping anything.

A customer's estimate page on an iPhone: Owen's 200A panel upgrade for $3,780, with Approve the estimate. Example shop.

Customers pay by card right on this page.

Quotes that went quiet

Every open estimate with what it's worth and how long it's waited, so the follow-up is a list, not a memory. Ava brings the big ones to Needs you.

Estimates in the Aestar app: six quotes with their status and amount, from a $12,800 rewire to a $1,635 EV charger. Example shop.

Questions

Estimates & price book questions.

Where do the starting prices come from?

From you. Setup gives you starter prices for your trade so you're not typing from scratch, and Ava only quotes prices you've kept or changed.

Can customers approve an estimate themselves?

Yes. Each customer has a private page where they can see their jobs and approve or decline estimates.

How does Ava price a photo?

She reads what's in the photos, for example a full 100-amp panel, picks the matching work from your price book and adds the hours at your rates. You see every line and a range, and you can change the hours before you approve it.

Does Aestar send the estimate for me?

Not yet. Mark it sent, copy the customer's link and send it the way you usually do.
